The information provided on this website (rkmbasses.com) is for general informational purposes only. All information on the site is provided in good faith; however, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability, or completeness of any information on the site.
Since every RKM instrument is built by hand, specifications, dimensions, weights, and finishes may vary slightly from those described or shown on this website. Photography may alter the appearance of colors and wood grain. Final specifications for custom orders are confirmed in writing between RKM and the customer before production begins.
Prices listed on this website are subject to change without notice. Orders already placed keep their quoted price. All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Final pricing for custom orders may differ from listed starting prices depending on selected specifications, materials, and options. DS Series: The price shown is a fixed price for the specification quoted and only changes if you request a specification change. It is based on the prices published in the Bass Builder at rkmbasses.com. Custom Shop: each Custom Shop bass is quoted individually with the customer. Prices include the applicable taxes of origin. A USMCA (T-MEC) certificate of origin is included with every instrument. México and the USA: no import duties apply under current rules, and RKM pays the customs broker charges. All other countries, including Canada: import duties, taxes, customs fees and customs broker charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Build time estimates are provided in good faith based on current workload and material availability. RKM Basses is not liable for delays caused by material shortages, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will communicate any significant delay to the customer as soon as reasonably possible, together with a new estimated date, and keep you informed of the progress until your instrument is finished.
RKM Basses ships instruments worldwide. The cost of delivering your instrument (shipping and insurance) is paid by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed in writing or unless an in-stock instrument arrives defective or not as described (see our Refund Policy). Shipping is quoted separately. The payment link for shipping is sent once the instrument has been paid in full. Every shipment is professionally packed and fully insured. If a package arrives damaged, report it within 48 hours of delivery with photos and keep all packaging; we will handle the insurance claim and work with you to repair or replace the instrument through that claim. For warranty claims (see Limited Warranty): RKM pays for the warranty repair; shipping to our workshop and back to you is at your expense, except where a mandatory legal right provides otherwise.
Custom Shop orders are confirmed with a 50% deposit, and DS Series orders with a fixed deposit of $2,000 USD. In both cases the balance is paid when the instrument is finished. For DS Series orders, if you use a valid discount code, the discount is deducted from the deposit. You may cancel a Custom Shop or DS Series order within 5 business days of paying the deposit by writing to info@rkmbasses.com, and we refund 100% of the deposit you paid. After that, deposits are non-refundable because, for DS Series orders, production is scheduled and materials are allocated to your order, and for Custom Shop orders the materials for your specification are purchased, except where a mandatory legal right applies. Because each instrument is built to your specification, custom instruments cannot be returned for a change of mind. In-stock instruments may be returned within 5 business days after delivery under the conditions of our Refund Policy.
This Limited Warranty applies to every RKM instrument sold directly by RKM. Covered against defects in materials and workmanship for no less than 90 days from delivery, or longer where the law requires; normal wear, accidents, modifications and humidity or temperature damage are excluded. To make a claim, email info@rkmbasses.com within the warranty period with your order number, a description and photos or video. RKM pays for the warranty repair; shipping to our workshop and back to you is at your expense, except where a mandatory legal right provides otherwise. This Limited Warranty does not limit any rights that the consumer law of your country grants you and that cannot be waived.
Online orders are sold by RKM BASSES LLC, 7300 W McNab Rd, Suite 220, Tamarac, Florida 33321, USA. Every instrument is handcrafted in our workshop in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Custom Shop orders are confirmed with a 50% deposit, are built in about the time stated in the quote, counted from the deposit date (good-faith estimate, not a guaranteed date), and the balance is paid on completion; specifications and final price are confirmed in writing with each client, and section 5A of our Terms of Service applies.
