Adjust your pickup position and shape your sound with ease. Swap pickup models without cutting holes or modifying your bass. On stage, in the studio, or anywhere your music takes you.
The RKM MPS lets you change your pickup position without removing or loosening your strings. It uses a simple rail built into the body that lets the pickup slide to any point along the string. Once you find the position you want, it locks in place. That's it.
Why does position matter? Moving the pickup toward the bridge gives you a tighter, brighter tone. Moving it toward the neck gives you warmth and roundness. These are classic tonal choices that normally require permanent routing. With the MPS, they become something you just dial in.
RKM pickups also use standard quick connectors, which makes it easy to swap between different pickup models. Note: swapping pickup models does require removing your strings — but no soldering, no special tools. The process is quick and straightforward.

Precision rails are integrated into the body of the bass during construction. These rails allow the pickup to slide to any position along the string axis — from near the neck to near the bridge — with smooth, controlled movement. The position is then locked securely in place.
The MPS rail system is fully concealed beneath a custom-fitted magnetic ramp cover that spans the entire pickup area. The magnetic attachment means it can be removed and repositioned without tools or hardware. This cover provides a smooth, comfortable surface for your right hand — ideal for fingerstyle players and those who rest their thumb. The instrument plays and feels like any premium bass, with no exposed mechanics.
RKM pickups use standard quick connectors, so swapping between models doesn't require soldering or any special tools. You do need to remove your strings to change pickups, but the process itself is clean and fast. Different pickup models give you different tonal characters — more flexibility with the same instrument.
